Midwest Double Bass Symposium

We are happy to announce the Midwest Double Bass Symposium at Youngstown State University. This is an all day event beginning at 9am. Clinicians include Max Dimoff, principal bass of the Cleveland Orchestra, Jeffrey Turner, principal bass of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and John Clayton, world renowned bassist. YSU faculty, Micah Howard and David Morgan will be performing. The event will conclude with two grate performances. A solo recital by Hal Robinson, principal bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and a performance by John Clayton with the YSU Big Band.
We are also excited to have four sponsor/exhibitors at the event. These include Bob's House of Basses, Cincinnati Bass Cellar, George Rubino, bow maker, and Shank's Strings.
Other sponsors include the Dana School of Music, Youngstown Friends of Music, the International Society of Bassists, Youngstown State Student Government, and Ludwin Music.
